Cupid and the Bow-it-All v2.0!

Hello, hello!

I recently got a Bow-it-All v.2.0 and although I haven't got to experience everything this amazing tool has to offer, I have practiced an overflowing handful of bows and am in love :) It's definitely a must-have tool! It comes with a great instruction booklet and there are videos online and on their blog to help the visual learners of the world, like me, learn how to make all kinds of picture perfect bows. Stay tuned for more pictures, examples, and a blog review (I'll give you a hint...it gets two thumbs way up!)

Of course I've been itching to put one of my bows on a card, so here it is, just in time for Valentine's Day :)

I don't really have any cupid stamps so I went to my trusty computer and did a search. Tons of them popped up, but this one was so cute, I couldn't resist using her.  She was found on this website. I colored her with Copic markers and cut her out with a scalloped heart die. The background of the paper was made using generation stamping with red ink on a pretty font background stamp. I found some ribbon in my stash and used the handy, dandy and brilliant Bow-it-All v. 2.0 to make a double loop bow :) Lovely!

Supplies:
QuicKutz Nesting Lace Hearts
Copic Markers (R 17, 14, 12; E 000, 00, 02; T 0)
Ribbon from stash
Bow-It-All v 2.0
Neenah Solar White Cardstock
Memento Ink in Ladybug

Thanks for spending part of your day with me! I hope you have a great Valentine's Day!

Safe Travels--DS4J New Release Sunday

Hello friends!

Today is New Release Sunday at DigiStamps4Joy!  I thought these suitcase images were so cute that I couldn't resist using them.  One of the great things about digital images is that you can change them up a bit.  For this card, I changed the size of the suitcases and stacked them on top of each other very easily, then put the sentiment exactly where I wanted before printing it out. This set comes with two suitcases and several sentiments, so there are loads of possibilities :)

I used textured paper for the card base and for the grey and brown flags.  The pink flag and the pink strip are pieces of polka dot scrap paper I had lying around.  I colored the suitcases with Copics and adhered the layer with dimensional adhesive, and that is that :)

Stop on by the blog to see the different images and to see what my great teammates came up with!  Don't forget to spread some love while you're there :)

Thanks for stopping by!

Happy Birthday Clown--Party Time Tuesdays February Challenge

Hello :) Today starts a new challenge at Party Time Tuesdays and the theme is always "Anything Goes", so whip up something good and head on over to the blog to share it with us, but before you do, check out one of my latest creations!

I made this card for our friends' son's forth birthday and I thought it turned out so stinkin' cute!  I love Peachy Keen Stamps and (like usual) had this one in my stash completely untouched so I was very excited to have an opportunity to use it.  The stamp set comes with so many different clowns and clown faces, so I could mix and match whatever fit the mood :)
Isn't he just so cute?! What a happy little clown :)

All the Single Ladies--Naughty or Nice Challenges

Hhhhheeeeellllooooo!

Another month and another awesome challenge at Naughty or Nice Challenges! This month's theme is Love/Anti-Love and I had the perfect stamp set to do the job. I bought this set probably two years ago because I thought it was hilarious, but up until now haven't used it.  I chose to go the anti-love route on this card and made this one for one of my happily newly divorced friends so she had some love on this Hallmark holiday :)

Here is what the inside says. It was very cloudy outside when I took the photo so it looks yellow LOL And I don't know why the darn thing won't center on the page!

Isn't that just so silly?! I love it!  Head on over to the blog to see what the rest of the DT came up with and to submit one of your own creations! Naughty or Nice, we want to see them all :)

Fuzzy Wuzzy Valentine--DS4J Challenge #109

Hello there!

Today starts another great challenge at DigiStamps4Joy! The theme is Valentines/Love so I used this adorable image called Pompom Love to make a sweet card for my five-year-old son :) I think he'll absolutely love it!

I love these bright colors so much that they've become one of my favorite Copic color combinations.   I cut the banners out of white paper and colored them using the same Copics before adhering black cutout hearts on them.  They were a great touch :)

I used Crackle Accents on the little heart and thought the effect was SO cool!

Thanks for stopping by today! Head on over to the blog to see what the other fabulous ladies on the DT created and submit something yourself :)

Totally Girlie and Completely Frou Frou--Guest Designer for Words 2Scrap By

Hello, hello!

Thanks for stopping by my little spot on the 'net today!  Back in December I entered this pinup card into a fun Eat, Drink and be Merry challenge at Words 2 Scrap By and was thrilled when I won! It's a big enough honor to be chosen as a winner, but winning a prize AND a guest designer spot takes that feeling up a few (or ten) notches! I was thrilled and so flattered :)  I'm so excited to be their guest designer for the month of February and want to thank the lovely ladies again for this opportunity!

Their February challenge is to do something different than what you typically do. I typically make CAS cards (clean and simple for those who don't know the lingo), so it was natural that I make a fancy, frou frou card for this challenge. I've always wanted to try a card like this, but was completely lost on where to start. They're just SO much to them, ya know?! They're beautiful and frame-worthy, but just looking at them really intimated me.  Despite my nervousness, I decided to try it. I figure if I'm going to challenge myself, I'm really going to challenge myself. So I did. And I LOVED it!

Without further ado, here's my "try something completely different" card:

Holy cow, I'm not even going to be modest LOL I made this! Me! I'm feeling very proud and pleased :) Now, I'm not going to lie, the design part was not easy at all just because I had no idea where to start or what to do. I contacted two wonderful ladies (thank you both!!)  who make fancy cards on a regular basis for guidance and they were so very helpful!  I took their advice and am really happy with how it turned out. It took more time and cost more money (the flowers are expensive!) that my typical CAS cards, but I definitely think this is something I'd like to do more often :)

I hope you like it and want to thank you so much for stopping by! Head on over to Words 2 Scrap By to see what the DT came up with and submit an entry of your own! Don't be afraid to challenge yourself :)  If you like what you see and want to see more, please consider following my blog, and leave me a comment if you do so I can stop by your blog to return the favor.

Once again, I'm so thankful for this wonderful opportunity!  Crafty hugs xx
